What is Micronized? Micronizing is a process that changes the surface area of the iron increasing the iron’s absorbability. Micronizing also makes it completely dispersible in liquids.
What is Microencapsulated? Microencapsulation is a process whereby the iron is encapsulated in a protective coating. This coating prevents the common side effects of iron supplements, like constipation, tummy upset, and gray teeth. Microencapsulation optimizes iron absorption by allowing the iron to travel intact, past the stomach, into the small intestine where iron is readily absorbed. BioFe® iron supplements can be taken at any time because the microencapsulated iron does not compete with other minerals, like calcium, that can inhibit iron absorption.
